Segal Barbara
Barbara Segal is a performer, teacher, historian and dance choreographer specialising in the arts of the 15th to 19th century. She is director of Chalemie and Contretemps, groups specialising in 18th century dance and music theatre. She has performed and taught throughout Europe, the Baltic States and Australia, as well as participated at numerous festivals and theatres in the UK. She has toured for the Early Music Network and the British Council. She organizes and teaches at the Chalemie Summer School held annually in Oxford, which specialises in early dance, commedia, singing, music and period costume making, she also teaches at the Cracovia Danza Summer School and Festival held annually in Krakow, Poland; she has taught early dance to degree students at The Royal Academy of Dance in London. She holds a Doctorate in Psychology from London University (LSE).
