Kurucz Tünde


Was born in Hungary. She studied piano and chamber music in Budapest with Kornél Zempléni, Ferenc Rados and Imre Rohmann, later at the Music-Academy in Vienna with Paul Badura-Skoda.

She started intensively giving concerts after winning the International Mozart Piano-Competition in Salzburg in 1988. She was partner of Thomas Zehtmair at the Salzburg Summer Festival and played under the direction of Sàndor Vègh at the "Mozart- Woche" in 1990.

Her next success, winning the 2th price at the ARD-Duo-Competiton in Munich/ Germany, as partner of the violinist Mayumi Seiler in 1991, helped her to extend her carriere playing in Canada, Japan ( 3 concert-tours ) and Europe with partners such as e.g. Karl Leister, Erich Höbarth, David Geringas, Thomas Riebl, Heidi Litschauer and with her husband Imre Rohmann, with whom she plays piano Duo.

Beside her activities on the stage, she is professor for piano and chamber music at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
